In this time of crisis, let us explore the potentials of the information age to expand access to emerging markets to empower a truly global economy, this is doable once the poor have a means to earn into the virtual knowledge marketplace. This is our purpose, a free equal human rights forum, with a universal e-currency solvent that is backed by real (public) money, that supports, individuals, charities, and commerce partners. Is this possible you ask, yes, consider this: What if Virtual Worlds were real? What makes them real is their economy. So what if we could buy real goods instead of just virtual products with our earnings? And what if we could include the entire emerging marketplace of users who have no way to currently participate in e-commerce for lack of a cred card? One purpose of the FDU model is to allow those emerging market users who have no credit card or bank account a means to "earn into" the economy as marketers, publishers, consultants, and through auctions of real world goods. With those earnings they can now purchase Digital Goods and services, or if they have a local exchange (called a SCALE) they can use their earnings in a local barter exchange. - Thank you Michael, yes most people see real money as dollars, backing means the ability to get real goods like you order from Amazon, they only take public money. Given "public" money (i.e. dollars) is not substance it is what Amazon, your local market, and most people accept. Our purpose is also to be practical.
