- Thanks for your response Don. I have been working on a Sustainability District Overlap in Hawaii --ie North Shore and on the Big island --There are been generally good support at the legislative level, but things happen very slow in Hawaii, so I am working more on the local native community level. I am working on a Sustainable Agriculture and Energy project in kauai which we hope will be moving forward shortly. I would love to stay connected with your Sustainable Living in Hawaii as the islands are really ready. Do you know Doug Codiga? He is an attorney friend of mine in Oahu who wrote his undergraduate thesis at UH on Sustainability in Hawaii back in the 80s. We both worked with Ernest Callenbach ( Ecotopia). He is working on this too as are several other folks with whom you are probably already connected. Malama folks have been great to work with as well.

- Are you working with consciousness in Hawaii? Working in applied whole systems ecology( and Native Approaches) on several projects in Hawaii. It seems there is a lot of stagnation and blockage to embrace sustainable design, living , agriculture, energy and politics. Any groups working to shift the paradigm?
